Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA), a global leader in health technology, and Children’s Hospital & Medical Center of Omaha, one of U.S. News and World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals for Cardiology and Heart Surgery, have signed a 10-year, strategic partnership to help drive innovation in pediatric care. Working together, Philips and Children’s will look to identify opportunities to enhance the quality and cost effectiveness of patient services, including focusing on connected solutions in diagnostic imaging, patient monitoring, respiratory solutions and clinical informatics.
Children’s will look to standardize care across departments using Philips technologies, breaking down the barriers to patient data and clinical decision tools, for a better patient and employee experience across its organization.
Children’s supports families from across a five-state region, providing care to nearly 150,000 children each year. With a shared commitment to patient care and clinical excellence, Philips and Children’s will work to understand the health system’s current and future technology needs, while developing innovative methods of enhancing patient outcomes and the patient experience, delivering on their joint mission to improve the lives of children.
Through the strategic partnership, Philips and Children’s will develop a technology plan that is intended to provide business stability and predictability, while providing Children’s with access to Philips health technologies and services, as well as clinical education, IT integration and data analytics. Moreover, like other Philips long-term strategic partners, Children’s will have access to global best practices and Philips innovations, clinical programs that extend access to care beyond the hospital and into the community.
